So you may ask, where did this treasure box come from?.... Raleigh, North Carolina. FROM MY MOMMY WHO LOVES ME!!!!
We had planned to go to dinner with Daniel and Jenny our co-teachers, so I didn't want to have to carry around a huge opened box of goodies.... so I waited. I waited until after school, after dinner, and after the long walk home to see what suprises my mom sent.
I had only asked for cough drops, a book and maybe some reses peanutbutter cups, which do not exist in Korea... sadly.
I placed the box on the bed, and tried with all of my might to rip through the 18 layers of tape my mom put on the box... yeah... thanks for that. I almost didn't open it at all....
But Luckily Joseph came to the rescue with his handy pocket knife that was left in our apartment!
And what is the first thing I pulled out that made me smile so much... the Cheese packet from Macaroni and Cheese.. Thank you Mrs. Bradley ( upon talking to my mom on webcam at a later date, my mom informed me that even my neighbor was thinking of me living in the cheeseless country! So I made sure to include photo evidence of the happiness she sent to me over the ocean! Thanks Again!
Ahhh, here is me with my necessary cough drops. Being a teacher you scream and talk loud all the time, so my voice goes through alot, so I love halls! ( And I look terrible in this picture, but it is not about me, it is all about the goods in the box!)
Taco Seasoning.... though my mom can't send sour cream through the mail she sent the next best thing....
Joseph happened to take the picture of me telling him not to touch my reeses cups, or I would hurt him severly!
And my mom sent some new cute clothes! Gee, Thanks Lerner NY for having cute clothes for sale AFTER I leave the country!
And thoughtful mommy didn't leave Joseph hanging... He is loving his Fiber One Bars.
Yeah, My chewed off fingers totally need these Emory Boards.... haha, maybe I will grow them out so I can use them... I may not need to bite them now that things are not so stressful!
And Mom also sent rolls of pennies so I could give them to the Kids for Christmas! A little American Present!
So funny story behind this picture. My mom had the package all taped up and ready to send, so when she took it to the post office she had to list on a customs form all the things included, hand sanitizer was on that list... apparently though you are not allowed to send anything with an alcohol content. So my poor mom had to open the box, fish out the two small bottles and then tape the thing back up ( hence the 18 layers of hateful tape I had to cut through)... but OOPS... Mom included three hand sanitizer bottles and only pulled out two... so one actually made it to Korea... Uh oh!! Shame on you!!! ( But I will still totally use it!)
