We just got back Friday from our trip to Japan, and we had an AMAZING time. It was so different from Korea, and so amazing. It is a huge city and we only got to spend 6 days there, and I know we didn't even see half of what it had to offer. We did get to see many things that we set out to see, so I am proud of our navigation skills (or should I say Joseph's navigating skills) We saw museums, imperial palaces, gardens, downtown lights, fish markets, flea markets, and lot and lots of tall buildings full of video games (not even kidding) I have so many pictures to go through, but I thought I would put up a few to get started, I promise to write a full detailed account of our trip while it is still fresh in my mind.
Here is a picture from the National tokyo museum, they had everything from musical instruments, pottery, statues, buddhas, ancient home wares, and statues. This guy was really neat.
Sushi and Sashimi are both raw fish, but sushi comes rolled or in small pieces, shashimi comes just raw fish over a bowl of rice, below is what we ordered at a family run shashimi restaurant, the top in the chopsticks is crab, going clockwise is slamon, soy sauce tuna and some kind of egg sack thing...( which was not as delicious as the salmon and tuna....) hehe.
Consider me officially teased. :)
